  • Marva Prescod, ESQ

    VISIONARY & MVP

    Marva is the mother of Nzingha and Tekeya and has been a fencing parent for more than 20 years. Marva is the legendary leader behind the PISTE vision for fencing-based youth development, and the lead advisor for program development. Now retired, Marva practiced family and juvenile law for over 35 years as public defender in the Brooklyn court systems. She is immigrant from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is the descendant of many the Caribbean activists including Barbados national hero, Samuel Jackman Prescod.

  • Suzette Hunte, MBA

    OPERATIONAL CONSULTANT

    Suzette Hunte is a fencing mother and non-profit professional bringing her skills as a strategic management expert and technical assistance provider, to the PISTE team. With over 12 years of experience in the nonprofit and community economic development sectors, Ms. Hunte is heavily involved in advising our parents, managing educational programming, and directing academic vision to maximize our youth’s development.

  • Jamila Hewitt, MBA

    LEAD BUSINESS ADVISOR & EY SPONSOR

    Jamila is an empathetic leader at Ernst & Young (EY), with a proven history advising executives, developing high performing teams, designing and managing programs, and implementing business strategies. A fencing mom, Jamila is a supporter of PISTE’s development both personally and through the EY Ripples program.
